Insurance
Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.
I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
- Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
- Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
- Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
Most people who have it will use insurance to pay for counseling services. Please be aware that using insurance reduces some of the control and confidentiality my services hope to give you. For example, most insurances require a diagnosis of a mental health disorder in order to establish ‘medical necessity.’ In addition, insurance companies may require additional information to determine the number of sessions they will authorize, reducing your ability to choose what is best for your family. Please be aware that sometimes, despite our best efforts, insurance does not pay for all services and you would become financially responsible. I will work to communicate any concerns in a timely manner.
I am currently in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Aetna, and Cigna.
Rates
Self-pay rates are available. Please contact me.
Payment
I accept cash, check, and credit cards as forms of payment.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session. After two consecutive missed appointments without notice, we will discuss waiting with your treatment until you are able to attend regularly. The more consistently and regularly we can meet, the quicker and more effective treatment will be.
